In these pictures you will see people who are suffering from the bamboo flowering famine and others who are living with HIV/AIDS or have become orphans because of HIV/AIDS. The region of Manipur State, India has a very high HIV/AIDS infection rate. These people are from very poor economic backgrounds who barely manage to earn one square meal a day. They need help and CSI has responded. While we have not done all that we would like to do, we have helped Brother Bualchhuak Rama and his temporary shelter facility called “Happiness Home”. With funding from CSI Brother Rama is able to feed children for $1 a day and provide food for many more in this difficult time. Thank you to all who have helped us in supporting this effort. There is still much to be done and we ask your help with funding.
Can you help us with this ongoing project? Can you send $5, $10 or another amount? The cost of one Happy Meal can feed four children for a day. One cup of premium coffee can feed two AIDS orphans for one day. What would happen if 500 people did without one cup of coffee and sent the $2 to help Brother Rama and the children of India? Brother Rama could feed 50 children for ten days.
Please send your support to CSI-India AIDS relief.
Thank you for your help.
Blessings,
Scotty Slaydon
