"We made our way church to church with a similar pattern. We would survey the damage, pray with the people and encourage them. We would then give out medication to those in need and conclude by encouraging the children with balloons and smiles." - CSI at work...

SMART Team Report

2/3/2010

The medical team evaluated and treated over 300 patients. They were well equipped and supplied for the medical needs they were presented with. The clinics were set up at 5 different churches and they were well received by the excited pastors and congregations at each location.

Mobility is slow but effective with the transportation assets that were there. Although there was essentially no law and order and effective governing, Randy stated that their safety was not compromised because of the strong military presence visible. The compound served as an effective base of operations. With Felder as an interpreter and Shane fluent in French, they were not limited because of language issues.

Supportive NGOs were identified and relationships established to provide medications, medical referral resources, and other base support assets. The personal care kits were a hit- so much so that there was near fighting among those getting them. Randy has numerous pictures and video clips that will be available as early as tomorrow night.

Without your compassion and financial support CSI cannot reach the thousands of hurting, destitute, sick, and unfortunate people that we have already reached. It's been your support that has made the difference, and will continue to make the difference.
